Becoming a Catholic Through RCIA

Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church is pleased to offer the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program to adults interested in becoming Catholic.

There are no prerequisites to register and attend RCIA classes. The program provides an overview of Catholic teachings so those interested in being Confirmed may make a sound, informed decision. Participants in the RCIA program are not required to accept any of the Sacraments offered at the conclusion of the program.

RCIA begins in early September and runs through Easter.

RCIA begins early fall and meets each Thursday night from 7:00 p.m. until approximately 9:00 p.m. The class consists of a one-hour large group lecture on a predetermined topic, then a short break followed by small group discussion. The small groups are led by volunteer facilitators, and the purpose is to expand upon the lecture topic.

The class meets through the week preceding Easter.

There is no cost to attend RCIA, and all materials will be provided.
