Little Rock Scripture Study - Fall 2010
Beginning Sept. 7 and Sept. 10
Gospel According to Matthew
The central message of Jesus' preaching is the coming of the kingdom of heaven and the need for repentance, a complete change of heart and conduct, on the part of those who are to receive the great gift of God. Another theme important to this Gospel is Jesus' identification with the "least". The Matthean Jesus has extraordinary compassion for those who are suffering.
We gather together once a week on either Tuesday evenings at 7:15pm or Friday mornings at 10am. Each group participates in small groups reviewing the week’s assigned reading and questions, followed by Deacon Ken's group lecture discussion. Daily personal study and prayer is encouraged.
Tuesday evenings at 7:15 pm and start on Sept. 7, in the STA Upper School Drama Room
Friday mornings at 10:00 am and start on Sept. 10, in the St. Maron Room -- FREE Babysitting offered
