St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Vincent de Paul Society helps the poor and those in temporary need within our parish boundaries.  This help may come in the form of food, rental or utility support, prescription assistance, spiritual guidance or simply lending an ear.

At St. Thomas Aquinas, we maintain a food pantry to provide our primary assistance -- food. Our food pantry is continually in need of all nonperishable items particularly the following:

  • Beans (dry or canned of all varieties)
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Pasta Sauce
  • Canned tuna, chicken or other potted meats
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned tomatoes, tomato sauce
  • Canned fruit
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Macaroni & cheese dinner
  • Hearty canned soups (vegetable, chicken noodle, cream of anything
  • Canned Chili, Stew

Please bear in mind that specialty items such as artichokes, hearts of palm, chicken/beef stock, salad dressing and the like are more difficult for our clients to put to use.

For those in need, please contact our hotline at 214-823-4645.  The SVdP office is located at the north east edge of the church.  Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
