C.C.D. | | Ms. McDaniel's 1st Graders are learning about how God shares His life with Us. | | | | | Mrs. Grau is teaching her students about the importance of prayer in their daily lives. | The first three months of instruction behind us, the second and third
grade students are busy preparing for the reception of their First
Reconciliation in December and Communion in May. In anticipation of
these significant spiritual experiences we, who are involved with you
in the religious instruction of your children, invite all parents of
students preparing for the sacrament of Reconciliation to attend an
important meeting on February 10, at 7:30 pm in St. Anne Hall, in the
Parish Center. We share your joy and with you eagerly await your
childs reception of the sacraments.
October
and November were busy months for our C.C.D. students with our annual
food drive to restock the St. Vincent de Paul Food pantry. A special
thanks goes out to all students who brought in nonperishable foods to
help the needy. In addition, many C.C.D. students also had an
opportunity to converse with a couple of guest speakers. On October 20
Tim Koscheski, our youth minister, spoke to the students in grades
6-12. Tim talked to the students about their responsibility to work
with their relationship with God through prayer. On October 27 Mario
Root, Bishop Dunne High School Admission Adviser, met with our seventh
and eighth grade students and discussed continuing their Catholic
education. --Mary Xuereb, C.C.D. Director |
