Schola Cantorum

This ancillary group of musicians takes its membership from the Saint Thomas Aquinas Choir. Members provide soli for large choral works. Occasionally, they perform, as an ensemble, singing chamber choral works. An audition is necessary for consideration into membership.

Schola Cantorum Gregorii

Each Saturday afternoon this small ensemble, consisting of men from the Saint Thomas Aquinas Choir and Saint Francis de Sales Ensemble, study and rehearse plainchant repertoire for performance for Mass and in concert. They sing at the Saturday Vigil Mass. They are frequent performers at the Cathedral Guadalupe, Dallas. An audition, as well as experience with the choirmaster, are prerequisites for membership. An initial probationary period is required of new members. Their rehearsals are at 3 pm Saturdays throughout the entire year. Consistent, regular attendance is required for continued membership.
