La vocation de saint Pierre et de saint André by Federico Barocci
Prayer for Vocations
O God, Who wills not the death of a sinner, but rather that he be converted
and live, grant we beseech You through the intercession of the Blessed
Mary, ever Virgin, Saint Joseph, her spouse, Blessed Junipero Serra,
and all the saints, an increase of laborers for your Church, fellow laborers
with Christ to spend and consume themselves for souls, through the same
Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of
the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
Amen.
| Commitment to Religious Vocations
In keeping with the apostolic mission of the Holy Catholic Church, the community
of St. Thomas Aquinas invites you to join a parish wide effort to increase
the number of priestly and religious vocations from our parish and the Diocese
of Dallas through prayer. It’s simple—just join the “31” club.
Unlike any club you know of there are no dues, no meetings, no committees, just
a personal
pledge
by you to attend Mass one extra day per month and pray for an increase in religious
vocations. Pick any day of the month from the first to the thirty first. Choose
a date easy to remember-the day of your birthday for example, the day you were
married. Should you miss your day for any reason, go the next day or the next
week. This is your personal commitment—there are no “31 Club police” to
check on your attendance. The commitment is simply between you and God.
Set up a monthly reminder.
If you would
like a reminder sent to you by email, simply give us you email address, the
day you plan to attend and how many days ahead you wish to be emailed.
