How Much Will It Cost?

Parishioners:

Payable at first meeting.

$100

A refundable security deposit required to reserve the Church for your wedding day: This fee will be forfeited if there is any damage to the Bride’s Room or any other area of the Church, inside or outside.  Fees deducted are at the discretion of the pastor.

No wedding date will be held for more than 2 weeks if the deposit has not been received.

$60

Educational fees.
The educational fees include fees for the Natural Family Planning and Conflict Management Seminars.

$160
(total)

Please make your $160 check payable to St Thomas Aquinas.  Barring damage to the Bride’s Room or other Church property, the $ 100.00 deposit will be returned after your wedding. The STA Wedding coordinator will discuss your refund at your wedding rehearsal.

Payable at last meeting.
$370 Fee for the use of the Church: This fee serves to cover the expense of our Wedding Coordinator, altar servers, normal cleaning, electricity, and other utilities. (Please make check payable to St. Thomas Aquinas).
$250 Fee for the organist: Soloists or additional musicians require an additional fee, to be discussed with Michael Lindner and directed appropriately. (Please make check payable to Michael Lindner).
$250 Clergy Gift: As a result of many requests from brides and grooms, we are publishing this amount as a guideline to help you determine an appropriate gift to the priest or deacon. A clergy honorarium is the traditional way to acknowledge the work of the priest or the deacon who has supervised and directed you in your preparation for marriage, helped you in the preparation of the liturgy, and guided you through the service. This amount is a suggestion only, and is customarily the amount equal to the stipend paid for the music. Your gift is very much appreciated by the clergy. (Please make check payable to the priest or deacon who is receiving your vows).

Non-Parishioners:

Since St. Thomas Aquinas parishioners bear the cost of upkeep of the church, the non-parishioner fee for the use of the Church is $500 instead of $370 and should be paid with the $100 security deposit at the first meeting. The Music fee, as well as the Clergy Honorarium apply in the same way as for parishioners.
