Friday of the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to Friday of the 18th Week in Ordinary Time.  You Can Click Here for Today's Readings

As usual, we don’t have a Liturgy of the Word on Friday, but we do have a reflection.

Our Friday reflection…up and running now on our Facebook page…is a reflection on the Sacred Heart of Jesus and is followed by a beautiful presentation of “Holy is His Name.”  This is a musical version, of course, of the Magnificat.

The picture below is from the Church of the Visitation in Ein Karem (outside of Jerusalem)  and is an intriguing statue of Mary and Elizabeth encountering each other at the Visitation as we hear in the Gospel of Luke.  Mary proclaims those beautiful and profound words:  “Because He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name.”  So, we hear those words presented in this beautiful song written by John Michael Talbot and sung for us by Lauren and Dave Moore.

As of this morning, there are still plenty of slots available (except for the 10:30 Mass, which is full) for Sunday Masses this weekend.  You can sign up for those Masses that are available by Clicking Here for Sunday Mass Signups. Tomorrow I will email you the Worship Aid for this Sunday.

All of the Weekday Masses next week are still open…there are still plenty of slots available.  Click Here to Sign Up for Weekday Masses.

We hope you are blessed by the reflection today.

Your servant in Christ,

Deacon Ken
