Saturday of the 17th Week in Ordinary Time
Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:
Welcome to Saturday of the 17th Week in Ordinary Time and the Memorial of Saint Alphonsus Liguori, Bishop and Doctor of the Church.
Our video reflection…a prayer to Our Lady of Sorrows for her intercession…is up and running now on our Facebook page. There are two songs included…the Stabat Mater and the Ave Maria that was sung at the Mother’s Day Mass this year. We hope you are blessed.
Here is the link to today’s readings: Click Here for Today's Readings.
As promised, here is the Worship Aid for tomorrow’s 10:30 Live-stream Mass so that you can celebrate together at home with us.
The Rivera family responded to my request to share about their worship at home during this time, and Sally Ann gave me permission to share this with you:
“We have been grateful for the weekly livestream and set our calendar to catch it live. We AirPlay to the TV for life-size deacons and priests! It does help us feel like you are all really in our living room with us.
We do our best to follow along as if we are together in person (though it’s good our singing stays private) and Magnifikids are a great help to kids and adults alike as our worship guide.
Here is our coffee table “kneeler” during what the kids call “the black screen prayer” (Act of Spiritual Communion).”
Thanks so much, you guys, for sharing this with us. We are so glad that you are experiencing this in your home, and we pray that you and all who are joining us virtually are coming closer to each other and to our Lord during this difficult time.
So…don’t forget, if you are not going to be able to join us in the Church tomorrow, please join us on our Facebook page at 10:30 (or anytime after Mass is over for the recorded version) for the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Blessings to all.
Your servant in Christ,
