Wednesday of the 23rd Week in Ordinary Time

Shalom, Y’All:

Welcome to Wednesday of the 23rd Week in Ordinary Time and the Memorial of St. Peter Claver.  You can read today’s readings if you Click Here for Today's Readings .

Fr. James Dorman is our celebrant and homilist for today’s Liturgy of the Word.  Please go to our Facebook page to watch today’s video.  The reflection at the end of today’s Liturgy of the Word is a prayer to St. Joseph.

The picture inserted below is looking down the Mt. of Beatitudes to the Sea of Galilee (top left of the picture.)  I always love to stand right there and imagine Jesus proclaiming the Beatitudes right there on the mountain to a lot of folks enthralled with His teaching.

Oh my, if we would only embrace His teaching on the Beatitudes, this world would be so much more beautiful.  Please watch today’s video and hear what Fr. James encourages us to do and to be.  (I always like to say that the Beatitudes are the “attitudes we are to be.”)

It is now mid-week, and the Mass registrations are coming in steadily, but there are still plenty of seats available, so please go to our website and sign up.

Also, there are still plenty of seats available for the Weekday Masses for the rest of this week.

So…let’s enjoy the short break from the hot weather that is coming soon and give thanks to God for that break and give thanks to God for His love that is manifested through the teachings of His Son.

Blessings to all.

Your servant in Christ,

Deacon Ken
