Emails From Deacon Ken

Greetings to All:

Welcome to Thursday of the 11th Week in Ordinary Time.  Our Liturgy of the Word video for today is up and running now on our Facebook page.  Today’s readings are inserted below.

Shalom, Y’All:

And welcome to Wednesday of the 11th Week in Ordinary Time.

Our Liturgy of the Word video is up and running with Fr. James Dorman as our celebrant and homilist.  Our meditation at the end is a prayer to St. Joseph.  The readings for today are inserted below.

Greetings to All:

Today is Tuesday of the 11th Week in Ordinary Time.

Our daily video is posted on our Facebook page now.

Today, instead of the usual Liturgy of the Word (although today’s readings are inserted below), we decided that today we would post Fr. John’s reflection on making a Perfect Act of Contrition.

Greetings STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to Monday of the 11th Week in Ordinary Time.  Leading our Liturgy of the Word today is Tony Campise, our life-long parishioner who is soon to be ordained a Permanent Deacon.

In fact, Lord willing and the creek don’t rise (or another pandemic converges on us), Tony will be ordained to Holy Orders as a Permanent Deacon this coming Saturday.  Their original date for ordination was postponed by the Corona virus but is rescheduled for this coming Saturday.

Greetings STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to our Reflection for Saturday of the 10th week in Ordinary Time.  It is the Memorial of St. Anthony of Padua, Priest and Doctor of the Church .  (That link will take you to the readings for today.)

As is the case each Saturday, instead of The Liturgy of the Word, we have a reflection for you.  The reflection for today is a prayer to Our Lady of Sorrows.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Friday of the 10th Week in Ordinary Time, and our very short video reflection on the Sacred Heart of Jesus is up and running.  Next Friday, the 19th, is the Solemnity of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, and it is never too early to start reflecting upon that beautiful devotion.

Shalom, Y’All:

Welcome to Thursday of the 10 Week in Ordinary Time. It is also the Memorial of St. Barnabus, and the readings for that Memorial are inserted below.

Our Liturgy of the Word video on our Facebook page is up and running now.  Today’s celebrant and homilist is yours truly.

Greetings and Blessings To All:

I hope things are going well for you as we have reached the middle of this 10th Week of Ordinary Time.

Our Liturgy of the Word video for today is up and running, and you can go to our Facebook page to check it out.  We continue to hope and pray that you are blessed by the videos during this difficult time.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Saturday of the 9th Week in Ordinary Time, and our video today is up and running.

We have our Saturday Marian reflection today as we seek the prayers of our Lady of Sorrows.  As you have loved it so much, we once again are including the Stabat Mater and Ave Maria.

The readings for today are inserted below.

Please join us tomorrow at 11:00 for our live-stream Mass as we celebrate Holy Trinity Sunday.  The Worship Aid for the Mass tomorrow is attached.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to Friday in the 9th Week of Ordinary Time and the Memorial of St. Boniface.

Today, in our new format, we don’t have a Liturgy of the Word for you.  Today…and each Friday…we will have a reflection instead of the usual Liturgy of the Word.  And, even though we don’t have our usual Liturgy, I have inserted today’s readings so that you can read them and reflect on them.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Thursday of the 9th Week of Ordinary Time.  Welcome to all of you today.

Our video for today is up and running on our Facebook page, and we are glad you are here today with us.  Our celebrant and homilist today is…yours truly…Deacon Ken.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to Wednesday of the 9th Week in Ordinary Time.  And, it is the Memorial of Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions…22 martyrs for the Lord.

Well…last night was our first weekday Mass and what a blessed time it was!

Greetings to Everyone:

And welcome to Tuesday of the 9th Week of Ordinary Time.

Our Liturgy of the Word for today is up and running on our Facebook page.  However, you will find a new format for these videos.

Originally, we were going to discontinue the videos since Weekday Masses are beginning today.  However, Fr. John had several conversations with folks who encouraged him to continue recording and posting these reflections.

Greetings, Everyone:

Today is the Memorial of The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church.  “On February 11, 2018, the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments inscribed a new obligatory Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, into the General Roman Calendar. This memorial is celebrated every year on the Monday after Pentecost.”

Fr. James is the celebrant and homilist for our Liturgy of the Word today, which is now live on our Facebook page.

Greetings Dear Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Saturday of the 7th Week of Easter, and our video for today is up and running on the Facebook page.  As is the case each Saturday, we do not have a Liturgy of the Word on Saturdays, but we do have the Marian reflection for you again today.

Our prayer is to Our Lady of Sorrows, followed again this week by the Stabat Mater and the Ave Maria.  I know many of you enjoyed that last week, so it is here for you again today.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Thursday of the 7th Week of Easter, and our Liturgy of the Word video for today is up and running.  Father James is our celebrant and homilist again today, and our special reflection at the end is a prayer to our Guardian Angel.

Today’s readings are inserted below for your convenience.

Greetings to Everyone:

Welcome to Wednesday of the 7th Week of Easter.   Our video for today is up and running on our Facebook page.

For those who are new to these emails, you can find our Facebook page by going to our website at Click Here for the STA Facebook Page and then, at the top of our home page, click on the St. Thomas Aquinas Facebook page link.  That is also how you can connect with our live stream Masses at 11:00 on Sunday.

Greetings Everyone:

Welcome to Tuesday of the 7h Week of Easter and the Memorial of St. Philip Neri.

Our video is up and running on our Facebook page, but today it is not the Liturgy of the Word as usual. Instead, we have a Marian reflection.

Yesterday, when we would have recorded our Liturgy of the Word video for today, we were having power problems at the Church due to the storm the night before.
