Emails From Deacon Ken

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to Monday of the 4th Week of Easter:

We hope you had a wonderful weekend this weekend on this Good Shepherd weekend.

Our video is up and running on our Facebook page and I invite you to go there and check it out.  I am sorry it was a tad late this morning…the doofus who was supposed to post it got it posted a tad late.  Oh wait…that doofus was me.  Ha.  Sorry for the late post.  Will do better tomorrow.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Saturday of the 3rd Week of Easter.  As is our custom, we did not post a Liturgy of the Word today, but we did post a reflection for you to pray.  It is a prayer to Our Lady of Sorrows along with a beautiful version of Stabat Mater.  You can find that on our Facebook page as usual.

Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to Friday of the 3rd Week of Easter.

Our Liturgy of the Word video is up and running on our Facebook page now, so you can go there for today’s message from the Scriptures and the wonderful homily from Fr. James Dorman.  The readings are inserted below for your convenience.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Thursday of the 3rd Week of Easter.  Our video for today is up and running on our STA Facebook page and Fr. John Libone is our celebrant and homilist.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to Wednesday of the 3rd Week of Easter.

Our Liturgy of the Word video is up and running now on Facebook, and we continue hearing the Bread of Life Discourse from the Gospel of John.  Fr. James is our celebrant again today, and he is also the homilist.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to Tuesday of the Third Week of Easter.

First of all, thank you for your continued prayers for my special intention.  I knew you were champion prayer warriors…your prayers are working.  Keep ’em up, and thank you so much.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to the 3rd week of Easter.

We had another “well-attended” live-streamed Mass yesterday.  Thank you for joining us.

Our video for today…The Liturgy of the Word for Monday of the 3rd Week of Easter…is up and running on our Facebook page. And, the readings for today are inserted below for your convenience.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

First of all, I would like to ask you for your prayers for a very important and special intention that I have.  Please ask the Lord to hear my prayers for this intention.  Thank you for your prayers....I know we have some real prayer warriors out there.

Secondly, I wanted to send you the Worship Aid for tomorrow’s live-streamed Mass, which will go live at 11:00 am.  After the Mass is completed, the recorded version will post and you can watch it anytime in case you miss it live.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Welcome to Friday of the 2nd Week of Easter.

Our video for today is posted and ready for your prayerful viewing.  Fr. John is the homilist today and reflects on the multiplication of the loaves and fishes from today’s Gospel from the Gospel of John.  Our reflection at the end today is on the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Regarding what I mentioned yesterday about families coming closer together and inviting you to share your stories…let me start it off.

Shalom, Y’All:

Just a bit of humor for today.

When I communicate with the various pilgrim groups, I always use the greeting “Shalom Ya’ll.”  It has become a bit of a trademark for my emails to them.

The picture below (without the face mask, of course) was taken outside of Lazarus’ tomb in Bethany.  One of our wonderful pilgrims had just found and purchased the plaque for me and so we took this picture.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Monday of the 2nd Week of Easter.

We hope you were able to tune in to yesterday’s Mass…either live or maybe later in the day for the recorded version.  Divine Mercy Sunday is such a special day.

“My Lord and my God.”  Such powerful words from Thomas in the Gospel yesterday.  Very profoundly theological in the statement, but also very personal.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Please don’t forget to join us tomorrow at 11:00 as we will be Live-Streaming Mass on our STA Facebook page.  The Worship Aid for tomorrow (which includes the readings for tomorrow) is attached.

Tomorrow is the Second Sunday of Easter, also known as Divine Mercy Sunday.

Dear St. Thomas Aquinas Parishioners and Special Friends:

Greetings on the Friday Within the Octave of Easter.

Our daily Liturgy of the Word is up and running on our Facebook Page.  As always, you can get there by going to our Website home page at  Click Here for STA Home page.  When you get to our webpage, click on the link at the very top of the page and it will take you to the STA Facebook Page.

Today’s video is for Friday within the Octave of Easter.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Thursday of the Octave of Easter, and the Liturgy of the Word is posted and includes another wonderful homily from Fr. James.

There is a special addition at the end of the Liturgy of the Word today that I know will bless you.  Thanks to Lauren and Dave Moore (our music leaders for the 7:30 pm Sunday Masses), we have a beautiful version of the Easter Sequence: Sequence for the Solemnity of Easter: Victimae Paschali Laudes.

Halleluia!  All glory, praise and honor to You Most Glorious Lord Jesus!  You have risen from the grave, You have conquered sin and death, You have opened the gates to Heaven!  Halleluia!  All praise and honor to You Most Glorious Lord Jesus!

Easter Joy and Greetings to Our STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

The Lord is indeed risen from the grave, and today we celebrate that truth of our faith.

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Today is Tuesday Within the Octave of Easter.

And, as promised, today’s video of Fr. James’ homily from the Easter Sunday Mass is up and running now on our STA Facebook Page.  Go to our website Click Here for STA Website home page and then click on the link at the top of the page, which will take you to the STA Facebook Page.

Jesus Christ is Risen Today…Alleluiah!

Greetings Dear STA Parishioners and Special Friends:

Thanks be to God that Jesus Christ is indeed risen today.  On this Monday within the Octave of Easter we rejoice in that beautiful truth.

We hope you had a blessed Easter.  It appeared that many of you were watching the live-streamed Mass yesterday, and we are so happy to see and hear that you were able to join us and worship with us as we celebrated His resurrection.

Easter Greetings to All…

We have finally arrived at the Empty Tomb and we discover that Jesus is not there.  He has risen from the dead…He has conquered sin and death so that we can be with Him and His heavenly Father forever and ever.  Hallelujah!

As I was writing this, I just thought of something.  Let me tell you a quick story.
