Fall 2018 Scripture Study - The Eucharist

Event Time:
Classes Begin Tuesday Sept. 18 or Thursday Sept. 20

“The Lamb of God,” “The Bread of Life,” “The Body and the Blood of Christ”... these are phrases we know from the Mass. But do we understand what they mean in the greater and deeper context of Scripture and Church teaching?

In this 10-part series from the Lectio bible studies by the Augustine Institute we will learn the biblical roots of the Eucharist, through its foreshadowing in the miraculous events of the Old Testament, the Gospels, and Apostolic teaching. We’ll discover firsthand how Christ’s Body and Blood are an integral and wondrous part of God’s plan for our salvation.

We gather together once a week on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 or Thursday mornings at 10:00. The class will break into 4 small discussion groups after watching the DVD lesson. We all come back together as Deacon Ken wraps-up the lesson; the evening finishes with the social hour and refreshments.

Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the STA Upper School Drama Room

Thursday mornings at 10:00 am in the St. Maron Room
