Help Us Prepare for the Diocese of Dallas Synod

The Diocese of Dallas is preparing to rekindle the faith in our community, and we invite you to join us.

Attend an upcoming listening session, where you can share your thoughts on how the diocese can better fulfill its mission of evangelization and service. Join other members of our community in charting a course for the future.

Registration is now open for the upcoming listening sessions in 2022 and 2023

The Diocese of Dallas continues preparations for the Dallas Synod that will take place in 2024 by holding 10 public listening sessions in 2022 and 2023. These conversations are an integral part of the synodal process. The discussions at these sessions will follow a different format than our previously concluded Catechetical Sessions.

Each of these events will include the following elements:

  • Opening prayer with Bishop Burns and Bishop Kelly
  • Over 2 hours of table discussion on the topic chosen for each session
  • Q&A with Bishop Edward J. Burns, Synod Preparatory Commission Chair Lacy de la Garza, and other guests
  • Closing prayer and dismissal

Each event's discussion questions will be sent out in advance to those who register for each particular session.
