An important aspect of marriage preparation for engaged couples is listening to the experience of married couples. In this class, a married couple from the St. Thomas Aquinas community will lead an informal session where they will: a) discuss their families of origin and how their upbringing shaped their attitudes and approaches towards communication, conflict, finances, parenthood, etc,; b) discuss issues they have encountered in their marriage and how they have managed those issues; c) lead activities structured to prompt self-reflection; and d) respond to specific questions from engaged couples.
Where and when are the classes? Classes are held on the following Saturday afternoons in a parish facility. See the listing below. Please use the form below to register for one of these classes. We ask you to register by the Thursday before the day you will attend, so we might have sufficient materials for you.
During this time of shelter-in-place, please know that Marriage Prep classes continue to be provided by St. Thomas Aquinas, but by Zoom. You can register for Marriage Prep classes as you normally do, and we will send you a Zoom invitation by email to attend a class at the date and time specified on the website. Certificates of attendance can be provided.
